    DICTATOR Champion Poly Horse Nomination

We are thrilled DICTATOR has been nominated for the 2011 Champion Polytrack Horse at the Singapore Racing Awards to be held on 16th-Feb. Having placed 7 out of 9 starts with 3 wins in an Open Handicap, Open Benchmark 89 and notably breaking the 1100m Track Record in a Kranji C Stakes we hope he is a strong contender to take out the accolade. His main opposition are DR GRIGOROS scoring 5 wins - his highest rated win was in an Open Benchmark 83 Handicap and U GOT IT also with 3 wins. Does a Track Record, a higher rating, and wins at a higher level trump DR GRIGOROS' 5 wins? The other contenders include JAMAL MALIK (1 win) and SOUTH EASTER (2 wins). We are looking forward to the result!

Lansdown hails 'new Dictator' with Mordi

The usual raucous party that greeted the return to scales of yet another Lansdown Stable-owned galloper on Sunday, maiden winner Mordi, was probably even more vocal this time given the sentimental ties with his better-known stablemate Dictator. It is no coincidence the two bay gallopers are dead-set ring-ins either. Mordi, who is named after the Stable manager Donna Lansdown’s hometown of Mordialloc in Victoria, Australia, was purchased by virtue of his sire being the same as Dictator’s – Tycoon Ruler........ read more

    Equience defiant win

In what was supposed to be EQUIENCE's last career race before retirement and one of trainer Basil Marcus's last races before his departure from Singapore, he definatly stormed home to win by a mere whisker. Ridden perfectly by jockey John Powell over mile, he enjoyed an early cosy run but crept foward at the back turn before battling it out with the favourite in the straight. Considering his renewed form he will now transfer to trainer Brian Dean to continue racing.
